As you get older, you may find yourself being invited to more and more kid’s birthday parties. If you don’t have kids yourself it can be hard to figure out what gift is appropriate for a certain age range. Here are a few quick birthday present ideas for various age ranges.

New Borns – Being invited to a baby shower or just giving a gift to a recently born child can be difficult. In most cases the present is for the parents. nursery bedding can be a useful gift, as can clothes. A small rattle or toy for the child should be included.

1-2 Year Old – Toys are the name of the game. Puzzles are a big hit, easy ones with 6-10 pieces. Dolls or action figures are great gifts as well. If the child is closer to two, hot wheel cars can be an excellent idea.

3-6 Year Olds – Kids at this age are explorers and builders. Legos or Lincoln logs can keep these young engineers busy for hours. Star Wars lego kits are fun and when completed they can play with the space ship for hours.

Don’t skimp on the present but you don’t have to spend a fortune either. Kids move from toy to toy pretty quickly. You can help the parents out by offering to bring food, drinks or party supplies. Finding the right present doesn’t have to be a mystery, these tips should help you find the perfect gift.
